Quick answer
PowerPoint does not accept HEIC images. Convert HEIC to JPG first using HEIC to JPG Converter, then insert the JPG into your PowerPoint presentation.
You want to add iPhone photos to a PowerPoint presentation. PowerPoint does not recognize HEIC format. The Insert > Pictures dialog skips over all your HEIC files. JPG is the required format.
PowerPoint image format support
Accepted: JPG (best for photos), PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF. Not accepted: HEIC, WebP.
All PowerPoint versions reject HEIC
Windows PowerPoint, Mac PowerPoint, and PowerPoint web (Office 365) all do not accept HEIC. Google Slides also does not accept HEIC. No version of PowerPoint supports HEIC.
30-second fix: convert HEIC before inserting
- Use HEIC to JPG Converter or Cloudconvert.
- Drag HEIC photos, click Convert, download JPG.
- In PowerPoint, Insert > Pictures > select JPG files.
- Images insert normally. Done.
Batch converting for photo-heavy presentations
For 20-50 photos: Batch convert all HEIC to JPG (2-3 min), organize JPGs into folder by slide topic, Insert > Pictures > multi-select all JPGs. Images insert at once.
